Alisal Wine Ghetto Weekend
This fall, join us at the Alisal Guest Ranch as we serve as "base camp" for the first ever Alisal Wine Ghetto Weekend. This weekend has been specifically designed to feature the very special group of avant-garde, Santa Rita Hills winemakers who call the Lompoc Wine Ghetto their home.  These trend-setting vintners have already made a prominent mark on the California Central Coast wine industry.  Interested only in making extraordinary wine, these winemakers call a particular set of unimpressive corrugated metal buildings in Lompoc their home, hence the name “Ghetto.”  The wineries that will be featured at this year’s event include Palmina, Zotovich Cellars, Longoria, New Vineland and Samsara.

The Alisal Wine Ghetto Weekend will include fabulous Ranch cuisine, opportunities to participate in the Alisal’s vast array of outdoor activities, lots of wine tasting and cavorting with the legends of the Wine Ghetto.

We’ll start the weekend with a Friday evening wine reception where you will meet the winemakers and that will be followed by one of the Alisal’s renowned barbecue dinners.  Following breakfast on Saturday morning, we’ll head out to the Wine Ghetto for an afternoon Food & Wine Party with the winemakers.  In addition to some great food and wine, the winemakers will lead you on production tours, you will participate in barrel and tank samplings, and your feet may even be called upon to take part in an actual crush.  Before heading back to the Ranch, you will have the opportunity to purchase any of the wine you have tasted at special wine club member pricing.  Saturday evening’s Winemakers’ Dinner will be prepared by Alisal Executive Chef, Pascal Gode, and each of the five winemakers will pair one of his wines with a different course.  On Sunday, you will enjoy a specially prepared Farewell Sunday Brunch that includes Palmina Sparkling Wine Mimosas and some send-off gifts.

Alisal Anglers' Package

Dates Applicable: Monday-Thursday nights from September-May. Holiday and summer restrictions apply.

Package Description ~

Alisal's 100-acre spring-fed lake is one of the best places in California for year-round fly fishing. Alisal Lake is home to Northern Strain Large Mouth Bass and provides for some of the the best bass fishing in the entire state. Jason Grupp, Alisal's Orvis-endorsed guide, specializes in the sport using traditional spinning tackle and fly fishing gear to help guests track down their fish. Alisal Lake also features an Orvis fly shop and offers a diverse fleet of boats including bass boats, electric trolling boats and other recreational boats.

• Studio accommodation for three days and two nights

• Breakfast, and dinner daily, two box lunches per two night stay
• One guided fishing trip for two per stay

Wine & Roses Romance Package

Package Description ~

There's something about being away in the country that does wonders for romance. Some come to snuggle up by the glow of a crackling fire, sipping chilled champagne and nibbling chocolate-covered strawberries. To others, the Alisal offers a rare opportunity to glide quietly in a canoe across a serene mountain lake, or to take a leisurely horseback ride to a secluded valley shaded by majestic oaks. For the sports-minded romantic, there are plenty of chances to score points on the tennis courts or really swing on either of our two golf courses.

Meet & Play

Package Description ~

The Alisal’s Meet and Play package is designed for groups who would like to split their time between meetings and recreation.

In addition, the package includes unlimited recreational activities. Choose from a variety of activities that include horseback riding over our 10,000-acre working cattle ranch, golfing at either of our 18-hole championship golf courses, the private Ranch Course or the scenic River Course, fishing on our 100-acre spring-fed private lake, or tennis at our seven-court facility.
