Songwriters’ Workshop

Package Description ~

Over the years, fans have listened to Jim Messina perform the songs he created in such renown bands such as Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and Loggins & Messina. Now, there is a unique opportunity for aspiring singers/songwriters to personally come alongside Jim Messina for a week of learning from one of the legendary musicians of this generation. This intensive seven-day course is designed to assist participants in developing songwriting and performance skills.

The week will conclude with a Saturday night concert performance where participants will perform their newly created works. Celebrity guests will also perform together with Jim Messina at the close of the evening. Unlike “fantasy” rock camps, this is the “real deal” for singers/songwriters who truly wish to explore their creative selves.

Weekend Concert Package

For Jim Messina fans, the Alisal is offering a special Weekend Concert Package. For the weekend, guests can check into the Alisal Guest Ranch and enjoy all that the Ranch has to offer. This package includes an intimate evening of acoustical music and fine dining with Jim Messina and the participants of the Songwriters’ Performance Workshop as they perform their newly created works. Celebrity guests will also perform together with Jim Messina at the close of the concert evening.

Alisal Anglers' Package

Dates Applicable: November-March anytime and midweek April, May, September, October, 2012

Package Description ~

Alisal's 100-acre spring-fed lake is one of the best places in California for year-round fly fishing. The lake is teeming with bass and bluegill. Alisal Lake is home to Northern Strain Large Mouth Bass and provides for some of the the best bass fishing in the entire state. Jason Grupp, Alisal's Orvis-endorsed guide, specializes in the sport using traditional spinning tackle and fly fishing gear and will help guests track down their fish. The private lake also includes an Orvis fly shop as well as a fleet of boats including kayaks, sailboats, canoes, bass boats, electric trolling boats and pedal boats.
Orvis-endorsed guide Jason Grupp and year-round fishing are sure  to make this new Alisal offering one of the most memorable trips of the year!

Cowgirl Bootcamp

Dates Applicable: May 6-9, 2012

Package Description ~

The Cowgirl Bootcamp is an all-inclusive adventurous women's retreat in laid-back Alisal style. Before exploring over 50 miles of trails, women wranglers train cowgirls in "Saddle Up" instruction. With the preliminaries out of the way, guests hit the trail for horseback riding over beautiful trails to Alisal Lake to learn archery, fishing and hat shaping. For the more experienced rider and horse enthusiast there is also an opportunity to try barrel racing lessons in the open air arena. Experienced and novice riders alike will enjoy an invigorating breakfast ride to the historic Old Adobe.

Wine & Roses Romance Package

Some come to snuggle up by the glow of a crackling fire, sipping chilled champagne and nibbling chocolate-covered strawberries. To others, the Alisal offers a rare opportunity to glide quietly in a canoe across a serene mountain lake, or to take a leisurely horseback ride to a secluded valley shaded by majestic oaks. For the sports-minded romantic, there are plenty of chances to score points on the tennis courts or really swing on either of our two golf courses.

Meet & Play

The Alisal’s Meet and Play package is designed for groups who would like to split their time between meetings and recreation.

In addition, the package includes unlimited recreational activities. Choose from a variety of activities that include horseback riding over our 10,000-acre working cattle ranch, golfing at either of our 18-hole championship golf courses, the private Ranch Course or the scenic River Course, fishing on our 100-acre spring-fed private lake, or tennis at our seven-court facility.
