Fine Dining Servers
Essential job functions:

We are looking for experienced fine dining Servers. Hours will likely be full-time during the spring and summer. After the summer, positions may experience lay off or reduction in hours due to lessening occupancy. Must have previous fine dining experience and a high degree of wine knowledge - especially knowledge of local wines. All candidates must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Essential job functions:

Requires 2+ years previous bartending experience and be able to work in a fast-paced environment serving demanding clientele. Must be friendly, outgoing, responsible, trustworthy, and able to work independently. Requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record (must be insurable under companiesliability policy).

Cocktail Server
Essential job functions:

Requires 2+ years previous experiencein food/beverage and customer service. Knowledge of local wines and ability to up sell also a must. Must be 18+ years of age, professional, outgoing, and responsible. Ability to multitask and experience with tray service also a must. Requires working weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Sales Manager
Essential job functions:

The Sales Manager assists the Director of Sales and Marketing with increasing the overall occupancy of the resort by working with meeting planers, incentive buyers and travel agents. This includes attending industry events, making appointments with and conducting sales trips to potential clients in the target market areas, and conducting site visits. Approximately 80% of this job consists of outside sales and 50% of this time involves travel. Time in the office consists in part of making contact with potential clients, reaching out to former groups through telephone and social media. The Sales Manager assists in the marketing efforts to ensure all goals are met throughout the year. A minimum of two years sales and marketing experience in a hotel sales office is required. Applicant must portray a highly professional image and be able to cultivate long-term relationships with clients and customers. Requires a strong background in selling guest room nights, F&B, catering services, and meeting rooms. Must have thorough knowledge of sales techniques and a proven track record of developing long term business relationships.

Lake Attendant
Essential job functions:

We are looking for friendly, outgoing, and customer-service-oriented applicants to work part-time at the Lake. Must be familiar with fishing terminology, gear and boats. Previous customer service experience a must. Position also requires transporting guests to and from our Lake and therefore all applicants must be 21+ years of age and have a clean driving record. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Reservations Associate
Essential job functions:

Responsiblities include effectively controlling the room inventory and selling rooms over the phone, maintaining open and complete communication with Front Desk and Sales and Marketing at all times, answering questions regarding the Alisal, making reservations, and answering the phones. Candidates must have previous customer service and office experience, be friendly and courteous even under pressure, and be computer literate. Previous hotel/hospitality and cash handling experience a plus. Must be flexible and available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Position is part-time.

Assistant Mechanic
Essential job functions:

We are looking for a full-time Assistant Mechanic to assist our Lead Technician at our golf courses. Candidates must have a srong understanding of electrical systems, hydraulic functions, small engine repairs, and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues. Requires the ability to efficiently complete service orders in a timely manner and report progress to the Lead Technician.

The Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort Employee Benefits

The Alisal is proud to offer our employees an exceptional benefits package. The following is a brief description of some of our benefits.


The Alisal offers group medical, prescription, dental and life insurance to full-time, regular employees who have completed their 90-day introductory period. The Alisal pays the majority of the premium for eligible employees. Dependent coverage is also available, but the premium must be paid in full by the employee.

Retirement Plan

All full-time, regular employees have the opportunity to participate in the Alisal's retirement savings plan, also known as a 401(k) plan. This plan allows employees to have up to 15% of their pre-tax earnings invested in any of 20+ different types of funds. The Alisal matches 50% of what the employee contributes.


The Alisal observes five paid holidays. If an employee works on a holiday they will be paid one-and-one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked.


Full-time, regular employees accrue up to 10 days of paid vacation leave per year.

Sick Pay

Sick pay is available to all full-time regular employees.  Eligible employees may accrue up to 5 days of paid sick leave per year.


Any employee who works a minimum of six hours will be entitled to a complimentary employee meal during their shift.


The Alisal offers a variety of low-cost employee housing accommodations to employees in good standing.  Availability varies.

Employee Recreational Privileges

Employees are invited to participate in many of the recreational activities the Alisal has to offer. Some of these benefits include fishing, golfing, tennis, and discounts on meals and merchandise at any of our retail shops.

Other Benefits

Some of our other benefits include jury duty pay, bereavement leave, school activities leave, family medical leave, and a continued education benefit.
