Alisal Employment Opportunities

Massage Therapist
Essential job functions:

We are searching for an experienced Massage Therapists to work in our Fitness Center and Spa. Must have a State of California Spa Therapist license. Professional experience in massage therapy work required in addition to experience with other spa treatments including hot stone therapy and body wraps. Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and split shifts. Hours will vary based on occupancy.

Groundskeeper
Essential job functions:

Maintains lawns, shrubs, trees, and flower beds in guest areas of resort using riding mowers, push mowers, and other gardening tools. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of irrigation systems and basic knowledge of plant, tree, and flower names and care. Knowledge of irrigation timer clocks and sprinkler adjustments preferred. Must have a valid and insurable driver's license as position requires driving of company vehicles. Position is full-time. English-speaking preferred. Must be available to work occasional Saturdays.

Room Attendants (A.M. and P.M.)
Essential job functions:

Prevous housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including working weekends and holidays.

P.M. Laundry Attendant
Essential job functions:

This position is seasonal for summer only. Previous experience preferred but not required.

Lake Driver
Essential job functions:

The seasonal Driver transports guests to and from our Lake. In addition to driving, this position requires excellent customer service and communication skills as the Driver has much interaction with our guests. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, clean and insurable driving record and be 21+ years of age. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Position will likely end after summer.

The Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort Employee Benefits

The Alisal is proud to offer our employees an exceptional benefits package. The following is a brief description of some of our benefits.

Insurance

The Alisal offers group medical, prescription, dental and life insurance to full-time, regular employees who have completed their 90-day introductory period. The Alisal pays the majority of the premium for eligible employees. Dependent coverage is also available, but the premium must be paid in full by the employee.

Retirement Plan

All full-time, regular employees have the opportunity to participate in the Alisal's retirement savings plan, also known as a 401(k) plan. This plan allows employees to have up to 15% of their pre-tax earnings invested in any of 20+ different types of funds. The Alisal matches 50% of what the employee contributes.

Holidays

The Alisal observes five paid holidays. If an employee works on a holiday they will be paid one-and-one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked.

Vacation

Full-time, regular employees accrue up to 10 days of paid vacation leave per year.

Sick Pay

Sick pay is available to all full-time regular employees.  Eligible employees may accrue up to 5 days of paid sick leave per year.

Meals

Any employee who works a minimum of six hours will be entitled to a complimentary employee meal during their shift.

Housing

The Alisal offers a variety of low-cost employee housing accommodations to employees in good standing.  Availability varies.

Employee Recreational Privileges

Employees are invited to participate in many of the recreational activities the Alisal has to offer. Some of these benefits include fishing, golfing, tennis, and discounts on meals and merchandise at any of our retail shops.

Other Benefits

Some of our other benefits include jury duty pay, bereavement leave, school activities leave, family medical leave, and a continued education benefit. We also have an employee assistance program, employee referral program, employee of the month, employee newsletter, and at least one employee party each year.
